North Island New Zealand

Welcome to the North Island of New Zealand. This is where your tour of New Zealand begins. I will be walking you through some of the attractions, accommodations, tours, events and shopping that is through out the North Island. If you are here visiting for lest than a week you will just barely get to see half of the things to see on this island. More than likely you will be landing at the Auckland International Airport. The 115,000 sq km of the North Island is the most built up and populated city in New Zealand. It is also has a great deal of thermal activity through out the island in the way of hot thermal springs and steams vents dot the region.


The North Island of New Zealand as serveral cities that you must past through. Auckland, the largest city where most of the population lives in or close by. You can everything downtown, shopping eating and gifts. Even an attraction that is right down town very close to the Sky Tower. There is a bungee ball ride that your basicly strapping into a sit and your shot in the air about 4 stories. A great way to start off your vacation. North from here is the Bay of Islands. Rotorua is a very large tourist destination. Large Maori Village is located here. You can take a tour through some of the main parts of the town. You can take a close look at the native culture of New Zealand and see how they live. And it will take some time for you to get use to the smell of sulfur in the air. Wellington is the capital of NZ, population 370,000. Located at the bottom of the north island surrounded by mountains and a rugged coast line. There are all types of accommodations to chose from. From putting up a tent at the base of a mountain, or 5 star hotel looking over a lake or a snow capped mountain like Mt. cook.
